WEB DEVELOPER/ANALYST PROGRAMMER & TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
£25,000 – 40,000 dependent on experience + EXCELLENT COMPANY BENEFITS

THE COMPANY
My client is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions.
THE ROLE
For this role you must be able to work effectively within the Application Management teams on a global basis as well as on your own when required. You will have proven customer relations and problem management skills to support existing and new global applications and possess the necessary skills to co-ordinate across the other areas of IT.

Tasks/Responsibilities
As a part of the Application Management Group your main responsibilities will involve:

•Support/maintain existing systems across global customer base
•Production of development specifications based on customer requirements
•Development of bespoke interfaces and applications as required
•Assist with the implementation and support of a new global suite of applications.
•Developing good working relationships with business users around the world
•Working with change teams to bring new projects into service delivery
•Participate in Incident, Problem and Release management processes as required
•Programming/modifying reports.

THE CANDIDATE – Essential Skills
•Education to A-Level standard (or equivalent.) or higher
•Commercial web development experience including ASP.net, ASP, Visual Studio, VB.net, C#, and/or GUI programming tools. Especially, the manipulation of database data via web applications.
•Comprehensive database management/programming skills including SQL Server (Stored procedures, TSQL, etc), MS Access
•VB/VBA programming
•Wide knowledge of MS Office suite of applications
•Excellent customer relations skills
•Ability to lead/co-ordinate other developers

Any of the following skills would be of benefit but are not essential:-
•An ITIL qualification would be an advantage
•Software installation and configuration
•Microsoft Reporting Services / Crystal reports
