Technical Application Support - SQL Server 2000 - 2003 - IIS - Eastleigh, Hampshire

We are currently looking for a experienced Technical Application Support team member to work with our client based in Eastleigh Hampshire. Our client is a leading software author and developer of document management and workflow solutions in the South East.

Our client is also interested in seeing IT graduates who have done a placement year.

Candidates must be willing to work to a designated shift pattern.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Working on a busy Support Desk in a customer focused environment.
• Supporting external customers in Service Level Agreement (SLA) based working environments.
• Involvement with numerous products and technologies used alongside our in-house developed applications at a varied client base: SQL, Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, ASP .NET, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Citrix, OCR
• Using SQL Queries and assorted support tools for call investigation
• Log incoming support calls in Support Calls Database
• Provide a timely and professional response to customer queries & Issues.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues either by remote access or visiting the customer to establish cause and solution.
• Maintain internal systems to ensure that these are up-to-date.

Key skills include:

• Microsoft SQL server 2000 and 2005
• Writing SQL queries and manipulating data.
• Experience of Client / Server Application Support
• Microsoft 2003 server and IIS Web-Server.
• Microsoft 2000 and XP clients.
