The role of Technical Author is to provide expertise in areas of:
Creation of Technical Publications
Knowledge of commercial and / or military publication standards such as ISO, Def Stan 00-60, AESP, Air Pubs, RN Book of Ref, AECMA, JSP 188, JSP 435(D).
Understanding of Human Factors constraints on Technical Publications
Understanding of Legal & Regulatory constraints on Technical Publications
Creation of Training material (including operation and maintenance manuals)
Documentation Configuration Management
Awareness of export & security controlled materials and procedures
In-Country support awareness
