SEN Teaching Assistant jobs have become available in Portsmouth schools.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with children on a one to one basis who have mild or severe challenging behaviour.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will also be expected to

- Work along side the teacher to develop the planning for all the class
- Provide one to one support and group work
- Follow and implement the children's IEPs
- Maintain the positive learning environment within the school


Suitable applicants will need the following:

- 60 days experience working with children in the last 2 years
- CACHE level 2, or equivalent is desirable
- You will need to have a proven understanding of supporting children with special needs
- You need to have excellent planning skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills are a must
- ICT skills
