Do you have strong Network Design & Architecture experience along with a detailed knowledge of networking protocols and VMWare? Network Design Engineer required for this leading technology driven company in Portsmouth.



The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in networking engineering with a good theoretical and design background in network communications. Knowledge of IT security devices and concepts (VPNs, Firewalls) with experience of network design in Linux / Unix and virtualised environments (e.g Vmware) is essential



You will be able to support the network management and coordination through network design activities which include requirements management and verification processes in the network subsystems ensuring consistency, traceability and compliance at contractor and customer level.



The successful candidate will manage the technical issues associated with the design and implementation of the networks within the architecture development through to deployment, integration and acceptance by the customer.



Also you will have the ability to support the other issues of systems and implementation within the project engineering team in areas of proposal generation, analysis, defined task descriptions and schedules etc.



This role offers an excellent opportunity with a global company with customers in Europe which is complimented by the salary and benefits package offered. You will be required for some occasional international travel dependant of the requirements. They are based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.



You will also have a willingness to work in the area of national security and defence, with either an existing security clearance, or have the willingness to acquire it.
