This is a new requirement for a senior scientist / mechanical engineer with a strong academic background and first class knowledge about the mathematical modelling of dynamics systems. You will be joining an expanding company that designs, develops and makes high performance, sophisticated robotic test and manufacturing systems for the electronics industry.

You will be working within a small team of specialists that supports design and development projects (new concepts and legacy systems) by supplying modelling and analysis expertise as well as practical laboratory based test and verification activities. The team consists of multi-skilled engineers involved with development, thermal modelling, acoustics, noise and vibration analysis, stress and finite element analysis, fluid flow and control systems. You will be using state-of-the-art modelling software and measurement equipment. You will work closely with other engineering teams covering a variety of disciplines (e.g. systems, software, electronics, mechanical and test engineering) hence good communication skills and an appreciation of other disciplines would be useful. Furthermore a "systems-level appreciation" is desirable.

You will be degree educated or above in a related field and potentially hold a Msc or PHD, you will be able to demonstrate experience with mathematical modelling, scientific programming (i.e. FORTRAN, Matlab, Simulink etc) and be able to used computer based CAE modelling and anlaysis toold (i.e Labview, Ansys, cosmos).

The company is paying an attractive salary upto £42,000 plus additional benefits including pension, bonus and life insurance
