How about combining travel with some volunteer work in Uganda ? We have recently opened a community based guest house that is enabling visitors to do just this.

It is possible to help out in the local schools or at our new Craft Centre/Workshop and at the same time as exploring the area, spend time meeting up and sharing experiences with the local people.

Ruhanga in SW Uganda is just at the start of the mountains and ideally situated as a base for exploring much of the country's Wildlife, National Parks, Mountains, Lakes

Uganda Lodge, is a small comfortable guest house, and all profits are put straight back into expanding the projects. While at the Lodge we ask for a contribution of £10 per day for accommodation and meals. We have a 4x4 vehicle plus driver that you can hire to tour around Uganda.

We are also looking for a person or couple to volunteer for a longer period to help build and oversee the project.
