Our client is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join their team based in Fareham, Hampshire


The suitable candidate will manage and demand into MRP to ensure the company meets customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
o Demand within MRP/MPS
o Manage Customer Demand input to MRP
o Manage forecast Demand within MRP
o Manage feedback to customers on delivery schedules
o Review customer demand portals and determine robust process for interface into MRP
o Review unplanned demands and determine policy for minimising impact of this on DSA.
o Propose strategic stocking policies (with Planning and Logistics Managers) to meet customer expectations and demand variability.
o Review and introduce forecasting methodology
o Implement SIOP process across business
o Integrate processes with commercial to ensure consistent customer management

Experience & Qualifications required
§ Good working knowledge of forecasting system operation
§ Good level working knowledge of MRP/ERP system operation
§ Working knowledge of MPS system operation
§ Experience in extraction and analysis of large quantities of data
§ Experience in Customer facing roles
§ Experience in managing people through a change process
§ Experience of implementing new processes, procedures and responsibilities
§ Capable of recommending and applying optimum inventory management tools
§ Demonstrable management skills - motivation, presentation, strategy planning and execution
§ Good influential skills and ability to cope well under pressure
§ Strong communicator at all levels in business

Qualification required:
§ Degree qualified in relevant discipline
§ Post Graduate management qualification preferred
§ Formal training/qualification in forecasting, inventory management and people management preferred

Salary: £50,000. DOE
