Recruitment Consultant / Trainee Consultant - Winchester
Workmates are a successful Construction Recruitment Consultancy, supplying Trades and Labour workers in temporary and permanent positions.
We are looking for a consultant to run our construction temp desk.
Previous recruitment and / or construction knowledge would be an advantage.
Both trainee or experienced applicants will be considered. This position would suit a graduate.

An essential part of a Recruitment Consultant's role is to complete regular visits to existing or prospective clients who are located in the geographical area covered by that individual.
In this instance the areas covered will be predominantly Kent & Sussex. As this is out of the local area, you will be expected to complete a minimum of 1 full day out of the office every 2 weeks fulfilling a number of visits or appointments on this day.
You will be required to:
*Complete visits to existing clients that we are currently or have previously supplied, either by visiting them on a construction site or in their office. These visits need to be regular, and each client will necessitate a face to face visit at least once every 2 months.
*Arrange visits or meeting yourself as and when you feel that the client is due a visit.
*Plan your time carefully, choosing the best possible routes to achieve optimum visits on your chosen day.
*Act in a professional yet friendly manner in order to build and strengthen existing relationships we have in place with our clients. Discussing possible upcoming requirements, any problems with existing supply and generally aiming to gain more of an understanding of their business.
*Meet any candidates you are currently supplying to the client, making sure they are content and answering any questions they may have.
*Entertaining top clients at dinners, lunches, golf days etc as required.
*Complete visits to prospective clients, either by impromptu visits to construction sites in the area you are in or by arranging a meeting with a potential client with a view to gaining their future business.
*Complete these calls alongside your visits to existing clients.
*Research a client you plan to visit, gaining a basic understanding of their business prior to visiting them.
*Organise any literature or marketing material you feel appropriate to present to the client.
*'Sell in our business. Know our strengths and key selling points versus our competitors.
*Begin to build a relationship with the client, thereby increasing the likelihood that future business will be offered to us.
Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to identify and source new business opportunities
Some knowledge of Construction or Recruitment would be desirable
