As a very practical purchasing and demand management specialist, I have gained over 20 years experience sourcing a wide range of commodities in small to medium manufacturing and engineering environments. I have achieved significant savings in each of the companies for which I have worked, by supplier rationalisation, developing strong supplier relationships, effective negotiations, using and refining MRP and Kanban systems, and simplifying supply chains. Having had responsibility for managing factories, I fully understand the importance of planning and on time supply in meeting customers’ needs.
