A well established and immensely successful company in the Portsmouth area with in excess of £100MN UK turnover are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to report into their Finance Director and assist in driving the business forward. Managing a team of 10 initially which you will be expected to add to, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance function as well as providing regular forecasts on the back of the accounts to Group. Duties include preparing and managing quarterly and annual management accounts, year-end prep, overseeing all transactional work, budgeting, maintaining fixed assets register, overall management of cash flow, analysing and reporting upon year end results and year to date results and looking for efficiencies within the business, improving upon controls and processes where needed.The role offers an excellent chance of career progression as the business is acquisitive and requires someone with drive and initiative to add value, but who must also be a team player as this role is very hands onCandidates must be qualified accountants with a strong track record in people management as well as having experience previously of a 'hands on' role. The role attracts a salary of between £45000 and £55000 basic plus car allowance BUPA and pension.
