Our client is an international training provider for deaf and hard of hearing people. Parkhouse Bell is recruiting on their behalf for an Employment Advisor in the Plymouth area. The company prides itself on providing an excellent service to their client group and partners as well as nurturing staff through further training and development.

The Employment Advisor role involves providing advice, guidance and support to deaf and hard of hearing people to assist them in accessing training, learning and employment opportunities. This role also provides business services to employers, assisting them to recruit and retain deaf and hard of hearing employees.

In this role, you will be required to provide advice, guidance and training to deaf and hard of hearing people. You will also be required to work with employers to source vacancies and work trials for your client group and to assist the employers with deaf and hard of hearing people in the workplace. A good understanding of the issues facing deaf and hard of hearing people is highly advantageous. Experience working in the welfare to work sector helping people back into further training or employment is also desirable.

You will have a minimum of Level 3 in British Sign Language or a genuine interest in working towards this. A qualification in advice and guidance would also be a good advantage.

You will be performance driven and committed to delivering outcomes in line with set targets and have demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding targets and deadlines.

This role requires travel throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and surrounding areas, a current driver’s license and car is highly desirable in getting around in this role.

The starting salary range is £18,000- £20,000 based on qualifications and relevant experience. There is a generous bonus structure which is based on the number of job outcomes achieved each month.
