Electronics Design Engineer
Market-Leading Electronics company require a proven Electronics Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Hampshire.
Following expansion we are looking for an all round practical engineer with a broad set of skills to aid in the design and development of both new and existing products. You will be working within a team that designs and develops test systems to validate the company's products.
The company develops sophisticated automated equipment for use in the electronics manufacturing industry. There are a multitude of technologies incorporated within each system which means that projects are rarely the same and you will face a variety of interesting challenges.
The role will be a mixture of Electronic design and software development (typically in C / C++) and so would suit an engineer who enjoys a broad spectrum of work.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent in electronics and have board level analogue and digital design skills. Must have an understanding of high speed / RF electronic designs and the use of associated test equipment (scopes, meters, analyzers, etc) in addition to C / C++ programming skills.
Desirable skills would include VHDL, Linux / Windows / RTOS, embedded systems, automation / robotics / control / sensor system or test equipment development. knowledge of National Instruments equipment, scripting languages (perl / python) and knowledge of high volume manufacture.
This role will involve travel, typically to the Far East, for product transfer and support.
