Purchasing Manager
Reporting to the Procurement Executive you will lead and manage on a day-to-day basis the Procurement team responsible for delivering procurement services in a cost effective, timely manner. You will liaise with and support colleagues within the team in order to manage the materials and sub-contract budgets of projects, as well as providing Procurement expertise during the preparation of PQQ's and ITT's.A key objective will be to monitor workload and mitigate unnecessary peaks through the whole acquisition process, whilst improving service at a reduced cost. This will involve ensuring the team source, develop, manage and negotiate with suppliers at a strategic and operational level, using well developed communication skills.Working closely with other Procurement personnel within the team, you will be involved in the management and development of our supplies, assisting with the tendering, benchmarking and management of key supplier agreements, in line with the Company's commercial corporate governance.Your aim to be perceived as a customer focused, value adding, integral member of your team, your professionalism should reflect our objective to be a Company that suppliers want to do business with.
