Housing Officer Jobs are available in a number of our Council / Local Authority and Housing Association clients throughout the South East, particularly in Gosport/ Portsmouth area.
We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to work on contracts for our clients.

Excellent opportunity for 3 month contract for a Generic Housing Officer to work in and around the Gosport/Portsmouth area.

This position requires the successful candidate to start ASAP. You will be required to provide high quality customer service to all council tenants and leaseholders.


Reporting in to the Principal Housing Officer, main duties as follows:

- Carry out routine inspections of Council properties.
- Visiting tenants in connection with transfers and exchange applications.
- Operating computerised housing systems.
- Writing up of reports and responding to general correspondence.
- Investigate all complaints of anti-social behaviour and nuisance.
- Liaise with Housing Enforcement Officers regarding such issues.
- Liaise with external bodies to ensure appropriate action is taken with regards to ASB complaints.
- Facilitate remedial action as appropriate and offer support and guidance to tenants.
- Dealing with maintenance and repair requests.
- Ordering the necessary repairs to be undertaken, monitor the progress and keep all tenants informed throughout the process.
- Prepare required documentation and maintain orderly records.
- Dealing with rent arrears is not a requirment of the role.

The above duties are a necessity to the post, however these may vary slightly.

The succesful Housing Officer must have a full drivers licence and have access to their own vehicle to be considered for the role.
