Quality Assurance Engineer
We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work for a large Aerospace organization in Portsmouth.
To Plan, perform and report against contractual Quality Assurance requirements applicable to the Assembly, Integration and Test activities.
Perform Product Assurance activities, by the implementation of procedures and processes, to ensure product quality meets the stated requirements.
Work within the requirements of the assigned projects and Business Unit, controlling, managing and reporting on the assigned Work Packages.
Promote good practice and suggest improvements across the international Product Assurance organisation
Skills Required for the Job
Communicate, operate and influence at all levels
Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Produce concise management reports, presentations, minutes and actions, generally using Microsoft Office tools.
User and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly risk management and metrics.
Flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe when required.
Willingness to work on shift or off-site for short periods when required.
Experience anticipated
Strong Product Assurance background, with practical knowledge of implemented Quality Systems.
Work within an electrical/electronic Engineering environment.
Practiced in QA discipline, working in a design and development environment.
Responsible for product quality, performance and acceptance aspects, through full product lifecycle phases.
Understanding of Supplier Assessment against ISO, ECSS and ESA applicable standards and methodologies relating to scope of work.
Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline, or in-depth knowledge of quality assurance applied to product development.
Understanding of ESA Space Quality Assurance Requirements.
Appreciation of Software Quality Assurance, ISO 12207 and TickIT.
